New highs delivered a mixed bag Monday. The quality of the moves to 52-week highs varied from strong to tentative. Vasco Data Security International (VDSI) gapped up to a new high in heavy volume. Although the stock trades about 445,000 shares daily, the average daily dollar volume is $7.7 million, which is on the light side. Low daily dollar volume makes it tough for big funds to take positions in a stock.
