Stocks finished modestly higher Monday with volume running higher on the NYSE and slightly lower on the Nasdaq. The Nasdaq finished up 0.2%; the S&P 500 was up 0.1% and the Dow Jones industrial average was up a smidgen. After the close,General Motors (GM) announced the recall of another 3.3 million cars made between 2000 and 2014 over ignition issues. That brings the total recalls for North American GM cars to 20 million.
