Stocks were trading near session lows about two hours into Tuesday’s session. The Nasdaq and Dow Jones industrial average each fell 0.5% while the S&P 500 gave up 0.4%. NYSE and Nasdaq volume was tracking 5% higher than Monday’s light levels. In the stock market today, chip designer Avago Technologies (AVGO) gained 4% on news late Monday it’s being added to the S&P 500. It’s replacing LSI Logic, a company it recently acquired.
