The stock market returned to rally mode on Monday as investors gained confidence in the pace of the economic recovery and the prospects for continuing growth in 2017. The Dow Jones Industrials hit another new all-time record high, but it was the Nasdaq that posted the largest gain among major market benchmarks by climbing more than 1%.
