Judging by the action in oil and gas stocks in recent weeks, the worst could be over for a sector that fell hard last year as oil prices plummeted.
The oil and gas sector is a big one in IBD’s database, comprised of 10 industry groups. Many, including the transportation and pipeline group, are perched near the top of IBD’s 197 industry rankings, thanks to strong price performance over the past six months.
