A down day for the stock market didn’t have much effect on Thursday’s new-high list as several names scored new highs ahead of upcoming earnings reports.
CommVault Systems (CVLT), a provider of data and information-management software, picked up 0.37 to 47.72 in strong volume. It closed just above a 47.52 entry. Results are due July 26 before the open.
