The term “fast markets” means that quotes and price levels traded won’t be fully controlled if things get crazy. In my LIFFE days, fast markets could bring some great profits if you were quick enough. Hearing a price 8 bid across the pit while the same contract was 6 offered next to you was an absolute gift if you could grab it.
