Insurance company Progressive (NYSE: PGR) has taken been a player in the increasingly competitive auto-insurance industry for a long time. Yet even though the insurer still sees that business as a key part of its growth strategy going forward, Progressive has also made forays into other types of personal insurance coverage as well as building up a modest commercial and property business.
