An afternoon rally triggered by comments by Fed chief Janet Yellen that were perceived as dovish led to a number of growth stocks hitting new highs. But volume was mostly missing in action.
One new high was made by Middlesex Water (MSEX), which broke out of an ascending base, a relatively rare formation. The stock rose 1.18 to close at 32.04.
