Mega-cap and small-cap names joined hands in a modest show of new highs Friday, as the market looked poised to finish higher for a third week in a row. On the mega-cap side, General Electric (GE) shot up 0.95, or nearly 4%, to 28.98. Volume surged triple normal levels. That gain carried the Dow Jones industrials component above a 28.78 cup-base buy point. GE’s RS line has also moved into new high ground.
