What a difference a day makes. One day after the Nasdaq and S&P 500 suffered a distribution day, the Nasdaq jumped 1.5% in higher volume Wednesday, providing plenty of compelling action in the new high list. The Nasdaq’s gain was fueled by a nearly 4% surge in the Philadelphia Semiconductor index.
