Quality stocks making new highs were scarce Monday, but the new-lows tally also was thin. Several stocks broke out as they leaped to 52-week highs. Toymaker Hasbro (HAS) jumped 3.92 to 59.66 as it cleared a cup-without-handle base. Volume was more than triple its usual pace as the stock rushed past the 59.52 buy point. Hasbro reported quarterly results that missed on revenue but topped the Street’s consensus number on earnings.
