Stocks rose to new session highs in late trading Wednesday. The Nasdaq rose 0.4% and the S&P 500 climbed 0.3%. The Dow Jones industrial average was up 0.1%. Nasdaq volume was running sharply lower from the same time Tuesday. NYSE volume was tracking a touch higher. Freescale Semiconductor (FSL) jumped 7% and cleared the 22.73 buy point of a double-bottom base.
