Small caps continued to lead the market in late-afternoon trading Monday as the major indexes gave back some of their modest gains.
XAutoplay: On | OffWhile the Nasdaq composite rose nearly 0.5% in the early going before fading to a gain of around 0.1% at 3 p.m. ET, the S&P SmallCap 600 was still up 0.7%.
The S&P 500 was also up just 0.1%, while the Dow Jones industrial average notched a 0.2% gain after being up as much as 0.4%.
