Another Disaster For Wells Fargo: Troubled Bank Admits Selling Unnecessary Auto Insurance

Wells Fargo has admitted it placed hundreds of thousands of unnecessary insurance contracts with its auto loan customers. Between 2012 and 2017, it placed approximately 570,000 customers into a form of insurance called collateral protection insurance, which duplicated their existing coverage.
