While most restaurant chains have struggled to record even flat same-store sales, Darden Restaurants (NYSE: DRI) managed to grow them at six of its seven brands in its fiscal third quarter.
Overall, across all of its brands, Darden had a comparable-store sales gain of 0.9%. That broke down to a 1.4% increase for Olive Garden, a 0.2% gain at Longhorn Steakhouse, a 0.9% improvement at Capital Grille, a big 4.7% leap at Eddie V’s, a 0.8% improvement at Seasons 52, and a 0.5% spike at Bahama Breeze. Only Yard House showed a decrease, and it was by 1%.
