Japanese equities a tad firmer as yen weakens again 3 April
– Topix +0.29% at 1517.03
– USDJPY 111.46 off 111.51 highs
Expect offers/res into 111.80 then 112.00. Demand/bids 111.30 and into 111.00

Democratic U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly threw his support on Sunday behind Judge Neil Gorsuch, becoming only the third Democrat to back President Donald Trump’s nominee.

Ruling party candidate Lenin Moreno looked headed to victory in Ecuador’s presidential runoff Sunday but his rival refused to recognize the results, claiming he was the victim of fraud in what could set the stage for protests.

ECB chief economist speaking in Spanish press 3 April
– probability of having to provide more monetary accommodation has reduced considerably
– EZ economy gaining momentum but still must be confirmed by hard data
I reckon the ECB message is now well covered. Hopes of early tapering is off the table.
