The once-hot fiber-optic stocks are heating up again, jumping to No. 4 among IBD’s 197 industry groups from No. 155 six weeks ago.
Telecom-Fiber Optics surged nearly 5% Wednesday, and was on track to follow up Friday with a 3% gain. Analysts still expect consolidation to occur, following the industry’s Optical Fiber Communication, or OFC, exhibition, which wrapped up Thursday in Los Angeles.
