August 19,2016: The USD is the strongest. The AUD is the weakest.
As NA traders enter, the USD is the strongest currency while the AUD is the weakest. The dollars strength is in contrast to the weakness seen this week. The EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, and USDCAD all traded at the weeks lower dollar extremes yesterday. Profit taking today has pushed the dollar higher today. Oil prices and gold fell in trading today which helped weaken the commodity pairs. Stocks are lower. The dollar selling just ran out of steam it seems. That can happen on a summer Friday.
