As of last week, Slate Property Group is no longer part of the controversial Bedford-Union Armory redevelopment plan. The 500,000-square-foot site in Crown Heights was being co-developed by BFC and Slate. It features 12 townhouses, plus market rate and affordable units. Recently, activists called on NBA star Carmelo Anthony to pull back his support the project, where his foundation is helping to fund a sports center.
