Kashkari now on CNBC:
– There is still some slack in jobs market
– We’re not quite at full employment
– Fed is data dependant
– Don’t want to predict which month Fed will raise rates
Kashkari is trying not to stoke any speculation about June or any other month, which is responsible but not much fun. Since Friday’s jobs report there has been a rush amongst economists to change their forecasts to one Fed hike this year from two, with most now circling around September.
