Boston Beer (NYSE: SAM) only just introduced its new line of hard seltzers last month in a select number of test markets, but it’s already planning on rolling them out nationally. With the advent of summer, it’s natural that the brewer wants to get this light alcoholic beverage on store shelves, but the alacrity with which it’s pushing the Truly Spiked & Sparkling brand suggests Boston Beer is scrambling to make up for falling sales elsewhere in its portfolio.
