Gold slips to hit its lowest level in a week as the dollar outweighs the safe-haven appeal.

USD buying noted as North American desks open up
Greenback being grabbed across the board and that has brought cable down again ( along with the Kings Cross related wobble) to test  support between 1.4140-50 where I reported strong buying interest earlier. Currently 1.4158 from 1.4150 so they’re doing the job so far.

When last we checked in on Credit Suisse, things weren’t going so well.

The bank had just reported a $6 billion loss – in the fourth quarter. The red ink for 2015 totaled some $3 billion, representing the firm’s first annual loss since the financial crisis. Shares promptly plunged 13% to their lowest level in nearly a quarter century.
