A survey this month of 1,500 online shoppers in China by RBC Capital Markets found that Tmall & Taobao — both online shopping sites run by Alibaba Group Holding (BABA) ran a clear first and second place (earning response rates of 77% and 74%, respectively), well ahead of the No. 3 contender, JD.Com (JD) (with a 54% rating), and Amazon.com (AMZN) (26%). Some 70% of those consumers felt that Taobao offered the lowest prices.
