Most investors would look at a 2.8% weekly gain for the S&P 500 and think it was a great week for the market. It certainly wasn’t a bad one, but top-rated growth stocks mostly watched the action from the sidelines. The IBD 50 rose just over 1% for the week and is still 9% off its recent high. Compare that to the Nasdaq and S&P 500, which are 3% off their recent highs.
