Toyota Motor Corp said on Wednesday it would recall 6.5 million vehicles globally to fix a defect in the power window switch in models including the Yaris/Vitz subcompact, Corolla, Camry and others. Of the total, about 2.7 million are in North America, 1.2 million in Europe, and 600,000 in Japan, the automaker said. Toyota said modules in the power window master switch may have been lubricated inconsistently during the manufacturing process.

The investigation is at an early stage and senior Justice Department lawyers in Washington are undecided on whether daily fantasy sports betting violates federal gambling statutes, the newspaper reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The newspaper reported earlier this month that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Justice Department were investigating the industry, but the central role of Bharara’s office was not previously known.
