The stock market today received an early boost from overseas, starting with a late rally in China and a data-fed run up among European markets. Stocks held and added to solid early gains, leaving the Nasdaq up 2.7%, the S&P 500 up 2.4% and the Dow Jones industrials 2.4% higher. All three indexes closed at the top of their trading ranges.
