Investors short-selling Shake Shack Inc (SHAK.N) may have made money over the past week, even after paying exorbitant interest rates to borrow the stock. In a week when the S&P 500 lost 5 percent over three days, Shake Shack’s example shows that sophisticated investors can profit in down markets but often do so at a high risk. Since its initial public offering in January, Shake Shack has been wildly popular with Wall Street and with consumers, who wait in long lines for its indulgent hormone- and antibiotic-free burgers and sides.

The Chicago-based aircraft maker expects to roll out the first 737 MAX before the end of 2015, fly it in early 2016 and deliver it to customers on time beginning in the third quarter of 2017, Boeing spokesman Doug Alder said in a statement. On Thursday, The Wall Street Journal reported concern among industry executives that the process could be slowed because of problems at GKN producing the jetliner’s engine thrust reversers. U.S. safety regulators have opened an investigation into air bags on Honda Motor Co’s 2008 Accord sedans after 19 complaints of air bags failing to deploy including in a front crash that resulted in an injury, federal officials said on Friday. The issue involves a module that controls deployment of the air bag. It appears to be a problem separate from that of combustible air bag inflators made by Takata Corp (7312.T) in Honda vehicles.

Between 50 and 60 euro zone banks will be included in next year’s stress test of top EU lenders, fewer than half of the number in the 2014 exercise, a European Central Bank spokeswoman said on Friday. The ECB is the supervisor for top banks in the single currency area. The European Banking Authority (EBA), the EU’s banking watchdog which designs and coordinates the pan-European stress test, has said the exercise will start in the first quarter.
