1.  The Fed successfully targets inflation at 2%.

2.  This can only occur if the Fed is able and willing to steer the nominal economy, i.e. NGDP.  So the path of NGDP is determined by Fed actions (or perhaps errors of omission.)

That was against the 38.2-50% retracement area and against the 100 bar MA on the 5 minute chart (see blue line in the chart below).  HOLD THAT LINE.. .YOU GOTTA…HOLD THAT LINE…and the dip did. Buyers showed a willingness to stick with the trend higher.

Ideas welcome
Citibank was out with a note today recommending USD/CAD longs at 1.3080 with a target at 1.3350 and a stop at 1.2950.
That sounds like a decent idea but in the same note a bit earlier today they also called for EUR/USD shorts at spot and a stop at 1.1200 (the high today was 1.1221).
