Asian shares struggle as China stocks extend fall
Asian shares on Wednesday struggled at two-year lows after Chinese stocks extended their fall, stoking fears about the stability of China’s economy. Japan’s Nikkei (.N225) fell 0.5 percent and South Korea’s Kospi (.KS11) lost 1.3 percent. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan slid to a two-year low and was last down 0.1 percent.

Citigroup to return $4.5 million more in fee overcharges
Citigroup Global Markets Inc (CGMI), a unit of Citigroup Inc, has agreed with the New York attorney general to return $4.5 million in account management fees charged on some 15,000 frozen accounts. As a result of the agreement, a total of more than $20 million will be refunded to Citi customers for overcharges in an investigation initiated by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. In October, CGMI agreed return some $16 million to more than 31,000 customers who paid higher advisory fees than they had negotiated.

Hackers have followed through on a threat to release online a huge cache of data, including customer information, that was stolen a month ago from cheating spouses website AshleyMadison.com, several tech websites reported on Tuesday. A group calling itself Impact Team had leaked snippets of the compromised data in July and threatened to publish names and salacious details about clients unless Ashley Madison and EstablishedMen.com, another site owned by Toronto-based parent company Avid Life Media, were taken down.
