The stock market gave up all gains in late trading. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 were down less than 0.3%, while the Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.2%. Small caps were worse off, with the Russell 2000 down 0.6%. Volume was running higher on the NYSE but lower on the Nasdaq. Airlines were one of the best groups in stock market today, even after Delta Air Lines (DAL) topped profit estimates but warned of weaker passenger revenue.
