The strong second-quarter performance led the world’s largest biotechnology company to boost 2015 profit and revenue expectations. Amgen now sees adjusted earnings of $9.55 to $9.80 per share, up from its prior view of $9.35 to $9.65.

BOSTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) – Paul Singer’s $27 billion hedge fund Elliott Associates is worried about Europe’s prospects and is bracing for fresh market turbulence. Uber said it would use the additional investment to improve operations, expand into newer cities, and develop new products and payment solutions. “Uber has grown exponentially in India, a global priority market for us, which has also quickly become the largest market geographically for Uber outside the U.S.,” Amit Jain, President of Uber India said in a statement.
