Stocks continued to hold near their session highs at Friday’s halftime. Better-than-expected jobs data are lifting stocks. The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 rallied 1.1% and 0.9%. Both are back near their respective 50-day moving averages. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.8%. But volume has turned lower on both major exchanges in the stock market today after running much heavier in the early hours.
