For the day the SPX/DOW were +0.40%, and the NDX/NAZ were +0.45%. Bonds gained 5 ticks, Crude dropped $2.15, Gold added $1, and the USD was lower.  We ended the day pretty short term overbought, as you can see in the chart below, what was some support, is now some resistance, so be a little careful. We are up against some lateral resistance as well as the 50 day moving average now.

Pershing Square sued the U.S., claiming that its stripping of profits from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac unconstitutionally short changes investors.

In a complaint filed with the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., Pershing said the practice since 2012 of sweeping profits from government-controlled Fannie and Freddie into the U.S. Treasury as dividends creates a “windfall” for the government at the expense of shareholders. The Treasury Department and the Federal Housing Finance Agency, which oversees Fannie and Freddie, were not immediately available for comment.

Activist investor Carl Icahn reported a 6.6 percent stake in Gannett on Thursday, a regulatory filing showed.
