The stock market remained quietly in positive territory Wednesday, cheered by Alcoa’s (AA) earnings while awaiting release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve’s June 17-18 meeting. The minutes, set for release at 2 p.m. ET, may provide clues on when the Fed plans to hike interest rates for the first time since 2006. The Nasdaq gained 0.4% and the S&P 500 and Dow Jones industrial average were up 0.2% each.
