NYSE Indexes Mostly Flat; Whole Foods Weighs On Nasdaq
Sellers were in the Nasdaq again Wednesday as the tech-laden index came close to another test of its 200-day moving average. The Nasdaq fell 1.2%, but selling was less intense in the NYSE indexes. The S&P 500 eased 0.1% while the Dow Jones industrial average added 0.2%. Nasdaq volume was tracking 58% higher than Tuesday. NYSE volume rose 15%.
