New names in a stock screen always deserve a closer look. On Monday, LegacyTexas Financial Group (LTXB) appeared in IBD’s Spotlight screen. The small-cap firm is in IBD’s Finance-Savings & Loan industry group, which was rated No. 34 among 197 groups in Tuesday’s IBD. ViewPoint Financial Group completed the acquisition of LegacyTexas Bank on Jan. 1. Both are based in Plano, Texas. ViewPoint took the LegacyTexas name after the merger.
