Stocks dug in and held near session highs with a little more than one hour left in Monday’s session. Sellers were nowhere to be found after news of another big merger in the chip space. The Nasdaq, S&P 500 and Dow Jones industrial average all rose 0.5%. Volume on the NYSE and Nasdaq was tracking higher than Friday’s levels.
