Stocks pushed to fresh session highs near Wednesday’s midpoint as investors shrugged off lackluster retail sales data. Thanks to strength in solar, biotechs and online retail, the Nasdaq rallied 0.9% to its best levels since July 31. The S&P 500 climbed 0.7%, and the Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.6%. Volume was running mixed in the stock market today. NYSE trade was tracking about 3% higher, while Nasdaq volume ran around 3% lower.
